Bed Layering for Comfort

If you’re not familiar with twin xl quilts and coverlets, they’re a wonderful way to add versatility and comfort to your bedding collection. Because they’re thinner than a duvet or comforter, they’re a wonderful choice for layering or for those spring and fall months when you need something a bit lighter.

In warm weather when only a light blanket is needed, make up your bed with a twin xl coverlet directly over the sheets, and stash the duvet in the closet. As the weather begins to turn colder, pull that duvet back out and fold it across the foot of your bed. It’ll be ready and waiting if you need an extra layer during the night. When the winter winds begin to set in, make up the bed with the duvet beneath a lovely matelassé coverlet and seal in the warmth for a cozy night’s sleep. In the dead of winter, you might even want to add a twin xl cotton blanket for an extra layer of warmth.

No matter what the temperature may do, you can adjust your bedding to the perfect thickness with the help of a twin XL coverlet. It makes a welcome addition to any twin XL bedding collection.

A Versatile Palette

We’ve chosen a soft neutral palette for our collection of coverlets. This means they are amazingly versatile and easily matched with just about any taste or style.

If you’ve ever shopped for twin xl quilts for guys, you surely know that most options on the market have a distinctly feminine flair. Yet many of the favorites from our collection are perfect for either gender. Check out our delightful matelassés like Montauk or Hamilton, or create the perfect look for your room with a pique tailored coverlet featuring your choice of colored trim.

And if your favorite bedroom decor items feature colors that are just incredibly hard to match to anything, you’re in luck here as well. Classic looks like the all white bed pair nicely with even the most unusual bedroom decor colors. If you prefer something a little less bright, consider soft neutrals like champagne for warm palettes or platinum for cooler color schemes.

And feel free to mix colors with other parts of our bedding collection too. You can pair a flint coverlet with an embroidered top sheet and add in a twin xl fitted sheet only in your choice of color to create the layered color and texture effect you desire.

This is the Peacock Alley way. This is life. Well lived.
