A Woman, A Brand, A Legacy

Achieving the unthinkable in the face of adversity, Peacock Alley founder, Mary Ella Gabler, established the luxury linen market in the United States; all thanks to a little boudoir pillow. Since 1973, the mission for her family-run company has not changed. Just as in the beginning, we strive to elevate the every day with beautifully made, classically designed and sumptuously soft bed and bath linens.

A Twist of Fate

The Dinner Party
To Remember

Growing up in Pennsylvania Dutch-country, Mary Ella was enamoured by the intricate artistry of the antique quilts that enveloped her childhood. This passion for handcrafted textiles inspired her to design her first boudoir pillow in 1971. While hosting a dinner party, the pillow caught the eye of a prominent Neiman Marcus buyer who was convinced he needed the pillows in his stores. After receiving her first order, Peacock Alley was born.

Credited with building the first woman-owned, woman-operated, multimillion dollar bedding brand in America, Peacock Alley remains family-owned and operated, today.

Staying true to our vision, we continue to create luxury linens that bring any style to life with a legacy of quality woven into everything we do.

"Her life story should be an inspiration to aspiring entrepreneurs. Mary Ella, with her fine family, has emerged as one of the most important interpreters of current trends. She understands her customers and elevates their tastes."

Our Commitment

The Finest Materials
On Earth

Consciously sourced and compassionately crafted, we search the globe for the finest cotton and fabrics. Our collections are imported from the best mills in Italy, Portugal and beyond; many of which who have a history of textiles that spans generations. In our workroom based in Dallas, Texas, we still hand cut, sew and embroider many of our most cherished pieces. Choosing quality production over mass production; less than 3% of the world's cotton is up to our standards. In our quest for excellence, we know that to make the most luxurious linens, you have to start at the source.
