Sheets

Sometimes, the simplest things make the biggest difference. Take your bed sheets, for example. Utilitarian, sure. But, finding just the right sheets that feel great every time you climb into them and help you sleep better is a true luxury.

Peacock Alley uses only natural fibers in our sheets, such as cotton and linen. These fibers are woven into more breathable fabrics that adapt best to your body temperature when sleeping. Plus, we think they just feel better next to the skin.

To select your ideal sheets and pillow cases or shams, it helps to differentiate one type of sheet fabric from another.

Our percale fabric features long-staple cotton that most closely resembles a classic dress shirt. It is fine, lightweight, and especially soft to the touch. Pressed percale has a crisp and tailored look. Straight from the dryer, it’s more casual and relaxed. Typically, percale sheets are more breathable, so they may help you feel cooler as you sleep.

Sateen is an extremely soft and smooth fabric with a subtle sheen. The finish has more texture to it, giving it an almost sueded feel. Because the weave is more dense, sleeping under these sheets may keep you warmer.

Linen features a coarse weave that is light and airy, a trending year round favorite for sheets, duvets and shams. Tailored or tousled, linen can be ironed for crispness, or washed and dried to reveal the look of linen’s natural qualities. We like a linen cuff as an accent on our favorite percale sheet. Pressed or relaxed, the two pair beautifully.

Whether choosing a sheet that’s right for your sleeping temperature, or to match your favorite duvet or blanket, you can call on us to help find the best sheets for you. We offer Twin, Queen, King, and California King sizes. And, to make your linens truly your own, your sheets may be monogrammed, embroidered, or customized with a linen cuff in our own workroom at Peacock Alley. Our favorite day of the week? Clean sheet day, of course!
