Peacock Alley Debuts Value and Versatility

Dallas, TX, August 15, 2009—Peacock Alley, long celebrated for premier design in fine linens, proudly introduces the Company’s versatile and value driven Fall Collection at the New York Gift Show, August 14 – August 20 at the Mary Harper Group Showroom at 7 West 34th Street in Manhattan.  The Fall Collection brings fresh ways to re-fresh existing products as well as wonderful, new products that have value and quality at the forefront.

Peacock Alley re-introduces the signature Vienna matelassé, their most popular design for decades. The classic, versatile design goes modern in minimal settings or luxurious in traditional ones.  Inspired by an antique French button, this collection is available in coverlets, shams, bedskirts and shower curtains in white, taupe or ecru. Affordably priced at $79/standard sham $215/queen coverlet.

“Before smart design choices became necessity, we were designing our collections with the versatile wardrobe—and those who wear them—in mind,” states Mary Ella Gabler, founder and CEO of Peacock Alley.  “Just as the “little black dress” provided women with the effortless foundation to elegance, our timeless design and our commitment to quality have made our products endure and continue to delight.”

Sierra collection is naturally born of native minerals, sun and sky. With a gorgeous ikat design imaged in soft shades of slate, graphite, quartz and topaz, this beauty blends seamlessly with a broad range from deep tones to light. The colors are so versatile—working back with scores of Peacock Alley basics.  Constructed in the U.S. of 100% cotton, Sierra is available in shams, duvet and paneled bedskirt for queen through cal-king as well as 20" square pillow. $102/standard sham-$428/queen duvet.

Developed with maximum style in mind, Palermo brings blocks of colors to a natural palette. Inspired by coastal living and made in the U.S. of 100% pure linen, Palermo has modern accents that fit into any décor.  Featured in jade, mist, ocean and chocolate, the collection is available in shams, duvets, and decorative pillows with coconut button accents.  Details like smart pleats on its panel bedskirt make Palermo a year round basic.  $146/standard sham-$652/queen duvet.

Vintage goes modern with a fresh take on the traditional Jacobean floral Toulouse. Rich in a palette of reds, blues and browns, Toulouse recalls the spirit of old-world travel. Coordinates seamlessly with favorites like Lucky Star and Adriana matelassés, Toulouse is 100% cotton and proudly made in the U.S. Available in shams, queen through cal-king duvet and paneled bedskirt, and oblong decorative pillow.  $125/standard sham-$415/queen duvet.

As part of the Peacock Alley ME line, Cleopatra was inspired by globally-chic style with extraordinary value at top of mind. The intricate, embellished border can go flirty-mod, European-luxe, or utterly refined depending on its bed partner. This collection has all the luxury without the price! At $279 for a queen set, this 300-thread-count 100% cotton sateen, Cleopatra is the perfect remedy for the tightened purse string.  Available in sheet and duvet sets—all with embroidered detail in sand or White.

Peacock Alley’s new Captiva cotton throw with its softly ribbed cotton knit brings just the right amount of texture to this soon-to-be favorite. Six colors delight and complement any decor. Incredible value makes more than one a must.  Washable simplicity means it can be used it at will.  Available in champagne, flame, natural, ocean, walnut and white throw and matching decorative 20" square pillow.  Throws retails at $145 and pillows retail at $112.
